The 1916 Boston Red Sox finished in first place in the American League with a record of 91 wins and 63 losses, finishing two games ahead of the second-place Chicago White Sox. In the World Series they beat the N.L. Champion Brooklyn Robins in five games. This lot includes an 11” x 4.5” black-and-white team photo of the 1916 World Champion Boston Red Sox featured as part of an overall framed-and-matted advertising piece put out by a baseball uniform company. The photo includes a young Babe Ruth, who is positioned in the front row, fourth from the left. The entire framed presentation display measures 22” wide by 29” high.
