Highly sought after card of the tragic Joe Jackson picturing him on the White Sox from the Boston Store Chicago area regional issue. Jackson, a sure Hall of Famer with a .356 lifetime batting average (still #3 all time behind Cobb and Hornsby), was banned from baseball after the 1920 season for taking money from gamblers to lose the 1919 World Series against Cincinnati. Very strong black and white actual photo image of Jackson. Relatively clean both front and back. VG corners all around. About 50/50 top to bottom but off to the right hand side. A 1" crease at bottom center does not detract from the overall appeal of the card. Cards picturing Jackson on the White Sox during his playing days are highly sought after by collectors. Only 4 other Jackson cards from this issue have been graded by PSA.
