This PM1 Ornate Frame pin is among the rarest collectibles issued during the height of Walter Johnson’s fireballing dominance. The endlessly fascinating PM1 series still remains a mystery as to the means in which they were distributed, but their quality and scarcity are fact. This example displays an image of Johnson with medium contrast. A few subtle surface faults are visible in the white background area. The ornate filigreed oval frame is structurally perfect, though moderately tarnished to a bronzish hue. The original pinback fastener remains firmly in tact. A very presentable VG/EX-EX example of this uncommon “Big Train” artifact.
