Offered is a crisp 3 1⁄2" x 5" 1914 World Series photograph taken by renowned period photographer George Grantham Bain. The classic snapshot features Johnny Evers and Eddie Plank shaking hands before the World Series in which Evers' Boston Braves swept Plank's Philadelphia Athletics. The original black and white photograph  has some typical wear for the era and a slight crease on the top right corner. The verso is stamped in bold blue ink by Culver Service Photos Research and "EVERS" is written in pencil across the right side of the back. Some minor chips are evidenced on the right edge as well but none of those flaws detract from the overall image of the two baseball legends' display of sportsmanship before battling it out for Championship glory. Encapsulated and graded PSA/DNA TYPE 1.
