The Philadelphia Athletics defeated the New York Giants in the 1913 World Series to cap their third championship in in four years. John McGraw proudly graces the cover while reluctantly shaking hands with an American patriot who might be Connie Mack. On the pages within, black-and-white photos depict Giants players and executives-as well as a group shot of local scribes (dubbed "War Correspondents") that includes Fred Lieb, Grantland Rice and Damon Runyon. The program is all original, with a sturdy spine and light typical edge wear. Excellent overall condition.
