The annual Army vs. Navy game is one of the most traditional and enduring rivalries in college football. Since 1890 the annual battle between the two powerful football teams from the United States Military Academy and US Naval Academy has captivated the public and continues to this day. This stunning 7 1/2"x29" panoramic photograph captures the 1913 contest played at the Polo Grounds in New York on Nov. 9th. A superb interior stadium view shows the entire field from the vantage of the centerfield seats including a fine view of the stadium's grandstand and a glorious view of Coogan's bluff looms in the background. The photo retains outstanding contrast and clarity and remains in superb original condition with no significant structural faults. Photo remains in what appears to be its original matte and frame with a descriptive stenciled plaque at bottom. EX-MT condition.
