Complete set of 204 pins from the popular 1910-12 P2 Sweet Caporal tobacco issue, both large and small letter versions. Very evenly matched set presents EX-MT to NM with some appearing better and all but 3 having the paper Sweet Caporal ad in the back - Camnitz(Large Letter), Huggins(Large Letter), and Schaefer(black pink ad paper in back). The set is loaded with Hall of Famers: Home Run Baker, Chief Bender(2), Roger Bresnahan(3), Mordecai Brown(2), Frank Chance(2), Fred Clarke(2), Ty Cobb(2), Eddie Collins(2), Hugh Duffy(2), Johnny Evers, Clark Griffith(2), Harry Hooper, Miller Huggins(2), Hugh Jennings(2), Walter Johnson(2), Nap Lajoie, Rube Marquard, Christy Mathewson(2), John McGraw(2), Tris Speaker92), Joe Tinker(2), Bobby Wallace(3), Ed Walsh, Zach Wheat(2), and Cy Young(2). The sepia toned P2 pins feature the same images as those used in the popular 1911 T205 Gold Border issue, with all but 9 players appearing in that set. Included within the set are the following with the more difficult Red Print ad on white paper - Archer(L), Chase(L), Cobb(HOF)(L), Duffy(HOF)(L), Ford(L), Johnson(HOF)(L), and Stovall(L). Beautiful collection was bought as a complete set over 25 years ago.
