Manufactured by the Philadelphia Game Company, the "Major League Indoor Base Ball Game" produced circa 1912, is commonly regarded as the finest 20th century baseball parlor game. Revealed within its wooden encasement is a colorfully lithographed "field" and spinning wheel. The box top features original Carl Horner photographic portraits of 16 stars from Baseball's Golden Age including Hall of Famers: Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Honus Wagner, Walter Johnson, Tris Speaker, Ed Walsh, Frank Baker, Nap Lajoie, Frank Chance, Roger Bresnahan and Bobby Wallace. These very same player portraits were used to produce the famed T206 white border baseball cards. Original interior parts are included, such as pegs, scorecards and spinner. The cover exhibits a few minor scuffs, and is otherwise in overall excellent condition. It measures 2 5/8" by 19 3/8" by 13 1/4". Beautiful display piece!
