1909 Michigan "Champions" postcard featuring actual photos of all the players and legendary Michigan coach Fielding Yost. Small arrow from Yost's picture to name "Yost" in blank ink. Michigan proclaimed themselves National champions, despite a 6-1 record, for defeating the 1908 National Champion Pennsylvania and the undefeated 1909 Minnesota Gophers, both scores being prominently displayed at the bottom of the front. Used postcard postmarked "Ann Arbor 1909". Displays beautifully from the front with some rounding to corners. Back has a small piece of tape at the upper left corner.
