While the front of this card shows an attractive image of Washington Senators shortstop Norman Arthur "Kid" Elberfeld in a fielding pose against a backdrop of pleasant blue and green hues, its’ the cards obverse that will set hearts racing among T206 collectors.  While the vast majority of the limited population of "Broad Leaf's" in the hobby carry a back citing, "350 Subjects," experienced collectors with knowledge of T206 card back distribution, contend that the 460 variety is twice as rare as the set's legendary Drum-branded back - and Drum is exceeded in scarcity only by the legendary Ty Cobb reverse!

This Elberfeld collectible bearing the hallowed Broad Leaf 460 back is a newly discovered rarity, found nestled in a matchbox that surfaced in a Georgia estate. The match box held a small collection of a few dozen other T206 and T205 cards that also produced the previously unknown Ty Cobb with “Ty Cobb” back offered elsewhere in this auction. In spite of some creasing and spot staining, this is a real treasure for the T206 back specialist. Graded Fair 1.5 by PSA.
