Featured is a beautifully penned letter from Cap Anson with Anson Ball Park content. The City of Chicago "City Clerks Office" stationary bears February 18, 1907 dated missive which fills both sides. Written to family members (including daughter Adele), he writes in part, "I took out my lease for the Anson ball park...we should draw big crowds...The stands cost seven thousand five hundred dollars and will seat five thousand people..." Signed at the close, "Pa Pa Anson." Fountain pen handwriting and signature rate 7 to 8 out of 10 with some scattered slight smudges (one of which effects the autograph). Light toning with typical fold lines and some minor wear. Includes auction LOA from JSA and the 8.5"x16" frame in which it was displayed in the Green Diamond Gallery: Overall EX
