Very clean vintage 1889 boxing medal rewarded to R. Stoll. The medal measures 5.5" long and 2.25" wide. It weighs 72 grams. "140 LBS. BOXING" can be seen on the top portion of the medal denoting the fight's weight class. "1889" is engraved atop the middle portion of the medal. The main section on the medal features two boxers in a ring about to begin the bout and is surrounded by a blue border that reads "NATIONAL ASSN. OF AMATEUR ATHLETES OF AMERICA" for excellent display. Verso is stamped with "R.STOLL NY" and "STERLING" denoting its makeup. A wonderful vintage boxing piece from the late 1800s.
