Hall of Famer Tim Keefe was one of the great luminaries of 19th-century baseball. Scarcely a season went by without the iron-armed pitcher posting an impressive, league-leading performance in one statistical category or another. Nicknamed "Sir Timothy" because of his gentlemanly behavior on and off the field, Keefe retired with 342 wins (10th all time), a 2.62 ERA, and 2562 strikeouts. His 2562 strikeouts were a major league record at the time of his retirement.
A superb example of Keefe’s coveted N162 Goodwin Champions card is presented here. The conservatively graded offering shows superb clarity and original color. Corners appear EX or better with clean surfaces. A miniscule trace of rippling can be seen on the front under the closest scrutiny, most likely keeping it from grading higher. Outstanding eye appeal for the grade.
