Most of Williamson's 13 year major league career was spent with the Chicago White Stockings, where he was a mainstay on the National League Champion teams of 1880, 1881, 1882, 1885, & 1886. A big favorite of Cap Anson, his total of 27 Home Runs in 1884 was not surpassed until Babe Ruth hit 29 in 1919. Outstanding color on this very high end example leads to perfect contrast and focus.
