Very nice looking card of popular Boston Beaneater Hall of Famer Mike "King" Kelly(Catcher) from the 1887 Buchner Gold Coin tobacco issue. The colorful Kelly, possibly the most popular player of the 19th Century, is best known for being sold in 1886 from Chicago to Boston for the then incredible sum of $10,000. Card displays VG-EX or better from the front with a crisp, clear in focus picture and good color. VG-EX looking corners. Some extremely light staining to the front. Very well centered. Album paper still attached to about 90% of back seems to be the reason for the PSA AUTHENTIC rating. There appears to be no paper loss to card back showing with the surface looking to be in tack underneath the album paper.
