Scarce 1885 Harry Wright hand scored and autographed scorecard from a matchup between Philadelphia and Chicago on July 9th. Harry Wright has been commonly known as "The Father of Baseball" and this scorecard has been entirely filled out by his hand. His initials "H.W." can be noticed in the "SCORER" box. The page was originally torn from Wright's scorebook, which he would have used for many other games. The Phillies were shut out by the Chicago White Stockings in a 6-0 game. Each lineup has been carefully penciled in on each side of the scorecard. This scarce piece of baseball history offers an intriguing look into the 19th-century game. Sheet measures 4"×6.5" and is encapsulated by PSA/DNA in a holder which measures 6.5"×10".
