The 1884 Lawson's Patent 'Base Ball' game was released in Boston, MA and features a playing card set of 36 with baseball themed artwork and design. They include: (9) Striker, (5) Wild Throw, (2) Foul Muff, (1) Fly Muff, (1) Fly Catch, (1) Fly Ball, (1) Foul Ball, (1) Grounder, (1) Forced Out, (1) 7 Balls, (1) Pick Up, (1) 3 Strikes Missed, (1) 3 Strikes, (1) 3 Strikes Out, (1) Umpire, (1) Catcher, (2) 3 Baseman, (1) 2 Baseman, (1) Base Hit, (1) Double, (1) Triple, (1) Home Run. The set also comes with one of the two scorecards known as "Value of Cards". The backs are blue and white with a 19th century baseball scene rendered on each. Cards range mostly VG to EX in condition, with a couple standouts faring slightly better and a handful on the lower end due to staining and toning. It comes with the original box in FR shape but mostly intact.
