On December 2, 2017, the Philadelphia 76ers played host to the Detroit Pistons and came away with a hard-fought, 108-103 victory. Leading the way for the Sixers that night was seven-foot center Joel Embiid, who poured in 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Featured here is the jersey Embiid was wearing that night in the City of Brotherly Love. Outside the exclusivity of NBA Auctions, this is one of two Embiid gamers to ever hit the auction block (other just sold for $13,500). The 7-foot center from Cameroon has taken the league by storm since being drafted #3 overall by the Sixers in 2014. After losing two years to injury, the lovable character oozing with talent has proven, when healthy, to be essentially unguardable thanks to his plethora of post moves and ability to step outside the 3-point arc. Coming off a sophomore season in which he put up 23 points, 11 boards, three assists and two blocks en route to the Eastern Conference Semifinals alongside Ben Simmons, Embiid certainly "trusts the process."

On the jersey’s left front tail is the proper Nike manufacturer’s tagging including size “52” and a flag tag reading “LENGTH +4.” Also included is the NBA Authentics tagging (#S44312959). “Brotherly Love” is embroidered above the manufacturer’s tagging in script. Across the front of the white polyester jersey reads "PHILA" in blue on red tackle twill letters while his uniform number "21" appears in like fashion on both the front and back of the jersey. His last name – “EMBIID” – appears across the back in blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the jersey. The arms and collar are sporting the Sixers red, white and blue elastic trim. A patch touting the team’s sponsor “StubHub” appears near the left shoulder, while a black Nike swoosh adorns the right side. The official NBA red, white and blue logo appears near the top of the back of the jersey just below a gold patch that reads “3” to indicate the number of NBA titles claimed by the franchise (1955, as the then-Syracuse Nationals; 1967, Philadelphia Warriors; and 1983, Philadelphia 76ers).

The experts at Resolution Photomatching have made a conclusive photo-match to the 12/2/17 game using several images (one being Getty 884609660) based on the alignment of the mesh holes with the custom stitched letters and numbers on the back of the jersey, as well as the loose and fraying threads on the custom-stitched letters and numbers on the back of the jersey.

Includes LOA from Resolution Photomatching.
