Former Arkansas Razorbacks star running back Darren McFadden was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, scooped up by the Oakland Raiders. He made an immediate impact in the silver-and-black’s rushing attack that year by playing in 13 games and racking up 499 yards on the ground to go along with 4 TD's. One of his best games during his rookie season was at home against the New England Patriots on December 14, 2008. Although the Raiders lost 49-26, McFadden carried much of Oakland’s offense that day. He rushed 12 times for 46 yards and one touchdown and caught three passes for 68 yards. This lot includes McFadden’s autographed and game-worn Oakland Raiders home jersey and pants from that game.
The black mesh Reebok jersey (size 44) shows considerable wear with turf marks, sweat stains, rips and paint transfers from multiple on field collisions. The jersey has a "08-44" swatch in the collar, while a "Reebok [size] 44" tag remains in the tail. In addition, a special Raiders “GU 63” patch is stitched above the left breast in tribute to longtime Raiders’ icon Gene Upshaw who passed away on August 20, 2008. “McFADDEN” is stitched in silver across the back nameplate and his No. “20” appears in silver on the front, back and shoulders. McFadden’s autograph in 8/10 black marker appears on the ‘2’ of the jersey back. In addition, this lot includes his game-worn silver uniform Reebok pants (size 34), which McFadden has signed with his number across the right thigh just below the Reebok logo.
