One page letter, on Hotel New Nagoya stationary, from Brooklyn Dodger Hall of Fame center fielder to team executive Buzzie Bavasi, expressing his disappointment at being unable to come back early from the Dodger's Japan trip, as had been promised earlier by Bavasi. Snider is cordial yet gets across his feelings of betrayal about having to stay the duration with the team. Near the end of the letter Snider writes "The Japanese people are very nice and the trip is a good one. But I find the only wise people were you, Furillo, and Maglie." Snider has underlined "you". Evidently Bavasi, Carl Furillo, and Sal Maglie were the only ones to not go on the trip. He closes the letter with "Your wandering outfielder, Duke". Letter and "Duke" signature all written in perfect 10/10 looking dark blue ink. Letter itself in very nice condition with a pair of small staple holes at the upper left corner and a little paper wrinkling at the upper right. Interesting look at a little behind the scene controversy from the 1956 Brooklyn Dodger Japan tour.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
