Addendum: Starting bid adjusted from catalog.

Two-time Super Bowl champion Peyton Manning came close to having another on his incredible Hall of Fame resume when he led the Indianapolis Colts to NFL-best 14-2 record in 2009. The stat-stuffing quarterback threw for 4,500 yards and 33 TD’s to earn his second straight league MVP award. In a match-up between two of the best to ever play the position, Manning’s Colts succumbed to Drew Brees’ Saints in a classic Super Bowl XLIV. Featured here is a 2009 Peyton Manning game-worn jersey from that remarkable MVP season—the fourth of five such honors during his storied career. The jersey comes with impeccable documentation verifying use in the Colts’ 42-6 blowout victory at the St. Louis Rams on October 25, 2009. Manning threw for 235 yards and three TD passes to bring the Colts’ record to 6-0. In fact, the Colts ran off 14 straight victories to start the season before resting players in a week 16 loss.

The white Reebok jersey shows light wear from the Colts’ signal caller—understandable since he was not sacked and barely touched by the pitiful Rams defense that day. Inside the rear collar is a strip tag with “09-50” for the year and size, with the NFL/PSA sticker adjacent. The Reebok NFL Equipment label appears on the left tail, with 4” L.B. and size 50 flag tags. Manning's iconic No. “18” appears on the front, back and both shoulders in blue tackle twill. "MANNING" appears across the back also in blue across a white nameplate. The sleeves have the blue and white knitted shoulder stripes along with the Reebok logo patch. At the V-neck is the NFL Equipment shield patch, with the white Captain's “C” embroidered patch on the right upper chest (three gold stars and one white star). The unsigned 100% polyester jersey has apparently been laundered—either that or Manning did not have to sweat much in the blowout.

Comes with ironclad documentation in the form of a professional conclusive 10/25/2009 photo-match from Resolution Photomatching along with a COA (N66784) from the NFL and PSA/DNA. Also included is a copy of the NFL Auction listing from 2010.
