October 15, 1927 USC at Stanford football program featuring a large, individual crystal clear picture of USC tackle Marion Morrison, who went on to become tremendously popular and world famous actor John Wayne, right at the center of a page with four other Trojans. Wayne suffered a broken collar bone that cut short his football career. Forced to leave USC after losing his scholarship he found work as a prop boy and extra in Hollywood, thanks to the influence of coach Howard Jones with actor Tom Mix and director John Ford. The rest, as they say, is history. Program itself is in about VG condition due to vertical crease down center. Center pages in great condition. "1927" in dark pencil and check mark on front cover. Game partially scored in pencil with a few other pencil notations present on a couple of pages.
