This vintage Spalding Official Base Ball Scorebook was used to record games played at the Polo Grounds, Yankee Stadium and Ebbets Field during the 1947 season. Among the games neatly recorded in thorough detail, was the game at Ebbets Field on 5/25/47 in which Jackie Robinson his his first home run at Ebbets during his historic, groundbreaking debut season in major league baseball. A notation by the scorer appearing at the bottom of the scoring grid reads, "Jackie Robinson Hit His First Ebbets Field Home Run". At some point later the signatures of Jackie Robinson and his wife Rachel Robinson were obtained on the page. Both signatures rate 9 out 10 and were carefully placed on the page so as not to obscure any written data. The 5-1/2" X 7-1/2" spiral bound book also contains a pair ticket stubs from other games played at Ebbets and Yankee Stadium. The cover and several interior pages have partially loosened, but the book shows light to moderate wear otherwise. VG-EX condition. Includes a full LOA form PSA/DNA.
