1953 saw the NBA hold it's third all-star game. It also included the first appearance of an African American player in the game, Don Barksdale. The West defeated the East 79 to 75 with George Mikan named MVP of the game.
5" tall and 5" wide is this 1953 NBA All Star Game humidor presented to Red Auerbach. Bottom is stamped L.E. Mason Co. Boston, Mass. Top of container has NBA all-star information in raised lettering. Just some wear to the outside of the container, not dents or dings, just some scratching.
Includes letter of provenance from Red Auerbach estate.
