Addendum: Year updated from catalog. This is Barkley's 1996 All-Star jersey.
Hall of Famer and popular TNT talking head "Sir" Charles Barkley averaged a
team-leading 23.2 points and 11.4 rebounds per game for the Phoenix
Suns during the 1995-96 campaign. The team finished fourth in the NBA’s Pacific Division standings, but
that was certainly not the fault of the "Round Mound of Rebound." In his final season with the Suns, Barkley earned his 10th straight All-Star appearance and wore this offered jersey in that Feb. 11, 1996 game hosted by San Antonio at the Alamodome. Barkley started at forward and finished with eight points for the Western Conference as they fell to the East 129-118 behind an MVP performance from Michael Jordan.
The front of the white mesh jersey has the No. "10" Barkley wore in the '96 All-Star game along with "NBA ALL-STARS" in teal-on-black tackle twill lettering. The All-Star logo from that year with an arm and basketball is screen-pressed on chest with the NBA logo sewn above to its right. "BARKLEY" is sewn directly across the upper back in black tackle twill with No. 10 below in teal. The yokes have a festive "Ole West" pattern. On the front left tail is a Champion size 50 manufacturer’s tag with
washing instructions. Adjacent is the official All-Star Weekend tag reading "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for 1996 NBA All-Star Weekend" in silver. Inside the left inseam is the 100% Nylon materials tag and 3” EXTRA BODY LENGTH tag. Barkley has signed the back '0' in 7/10 black pen.
According to MEARS, the jersey originates from the collection of "Mr. Felix"
and was gifted to him direct from Charles Barkley following the game. Shirt displays light but appropriate wear. Barkley spent 16 minutes on the court, and we know how little defense is played in All-Star games. Such a rarity to come across an All-Star gamer, especially from one of the best power forwards in history.
