Zelmo Beaty's 1962 National Association pf Intercollegiate Athletics All-American First Team award from the personal collection of the Basketball Hall of Fame center. Beaty attended Prairie View A & M University in Prairie View, Texas. Beaty played 12 seasons in the NBA and ABA, averaging 17.1 Points Per Game and 10.9 Rebounds. The 3rd pick overall in the 1962 NBA draft he played 7 years with the St. Louis/Atlanta Hawks(NBA) and 4 with the Utah Stars(ABA), before finishing off with the Los Angeles Lakers(NBA) for one final season. In 1970-71 he led the Utah Stars to the ABA Championship averaging 23.2 PPG and 14.6 RPG. Award in great condition and measures 14" by 17 1/4".
