This lot includes a sepia toned 6.75"x11.5" photograph depicting a young Cobb during the height of his playing career with the Detroit Tigers. The photo was signed on the front: "Ty Cobb, 1/12/50." The vintage green fountain pen signature was graded NM-MT 8 by PSA/DNA. The photo exhibits light surface wear with minimal creasing at the upper edge. The lot also includes a handwritten letter from Cobb dated between Aug. 1949 and Feb. 1950. The handwritten letter appears on Cobb's personal letterhead and invites Muller to send the photo to be signed. The letter is signed "Sincerely, Ty Cobb." It is encapsulated by PSA/DNA and his signature was graded MINT 9. The letters shows a bit of light age toning with a light area at the bottom.
