The late, great Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn was named to 15 MLB All-Star Games during the course of his 20-year major league career with the San Diego Padres. This lot includes a commemorative, beautifully engraved crystal bowl that Gwynn was awarded for being a participant in the 1995 All-Star Game, which took place on July 11 at The Ball Ballpark in Arlington, Texas. Gwynn helped the N.L. squad post a 3-2 victory that night over their A.L. counterparts. The etched bowl, which measures 10” across by six inches high, includes the official 1995 All-Star Game logo and the date (July 11, 1995) as well as “TONY GWYNN” and “SAN DIEGO PADRES” around the circumference. Images of both a pitcher and batter swinging through complete the artwork.

Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Gwynn Family.

A portion of the proceeds generated by the Tony Gwynn Collection will be donated to the Tony and Alicia Gwynn Foundation. The TAG Foundation is a non-profit, 5013(c) charity dedicated to creating and supporting programs that enhance opportunities for youth to become healthy, educated, and productive citizens. The TAG Foundation was organized in San Diego in 1995 by Tony’s wife, Alicia. For more information, visit www.tagwynn2.org.
