In 1987, San Diego Padres right fielder Tony Gwynn secured his fourth trip to the league’s annual All-Star Game and helped the National League beat their American League counterparts, 2-0. This lot includes a special Seiko wooden clock awarded to Gwynn for earning a trip to the All-Star Game, courtesy of then-National League President A. Bartlett Giamatti. The beautifully designed clock measures 21” wide by 9” high and includes a specially engraved plaque from Giamatti that reads: “1987 All Star Game, Presented to Tony Gwynn, A. Bartlett Giamatti.”

Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Gwynn Family.

A portion of the proceeds generated by the Tony Gwynn Collection will be donated to the Tony and Alicia Gwynn Foundation. The TAG Foundation is a non-profit, 5013(c) charity dedicated to creating and supporting programs that enhance opportunities for youth to become healthy, educated, and productive citizens.
