Presented is Steve Sax's 1982 National League All-Star Game ring for the game played in Montreal. This was Sax's first of five career All-Star nods. The face of the ring features a CZ in maple leaf atop a red stone surrounded by "PARTIE D'ETOILES". On one shank is "SAX" and the MLB logo, with "1982 PARTIE D'ETOILES All-Star Game Montreal" on the other shank. Remains in oustanding, near-mint condition and comes with a letter from Sax.
A portion of the auction proceeds from all items sold in the Steve Sax Collection will benefit the foundation named for Steve’s son, John, who was one of five U.S. Marines killed in a training flight accident in June 2022 in the California desert. The Capt. John J. Sax Foundation “serves to support those who choose to further their education, exploration and passion for flight."
