1923 large and sweeping action photo of Babe Ruth aggressively sliding into 3rd base for a triple during game 5 of the first ever world series played at the house that Ruth built. An important and very rare photograph from the famous fall classic featuring the Yankees and Giants.  The Yankees slaughtered the Giants 8-1 during the matchup and most of the damage was done in the 1st and 2nd innings. This particular image is from the first inning when Ruth advanced to third base off of a meusel single. With outstanding clarity and almost no surface wear, this is one of the finest images of Ruth from the series that we've handled. A small bit of paper loss is evident in the lower left edge but nothing detracts from the overall clarity and importance of this image.  Verso is stamped by International Newsreel and the full caption from 10-14-1923 is fully intact.  Graded and encapsulated by PSA/DNA TYPE I.
