Steve Garvey's circa 1965 game used hat from his baseball playing days at Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Florida. Garvey, nicknamed the "Little General", enjoyed an outstanding career at Chamberlain High School in both baseball and football. He went on to play both sports at Michigan State University, even starting 2 years at defensive back in football, before signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1968. On the underside of the bill Garvey has signed "Steve Garvey 6" in 8/10 black felt tip pen. Hand printed in black marker under the bill is "STEVE GARVEY" with a smaller, machine printed "GARVEY" below at center. Made by Derry Cap Sports Caps of Louisville Kentucky. Cap exhibits strong game use.
