The final home run baseball of Steve Garvey's career, hit against the Cincinnati Reds at Riverfront Stadium on April 12, 1987. The 3 run shot in the first inning provided the margin of victory in a 5-2 San Diego victory. It would be the final home run for Garvey, who would retire from baseball about a month later. Ball has toned evenly over the years. Scuff mark on the first part of Bart Giamatti's signature indicates where the ball was struck. Outstanding piece of game memorabilia from a very exceptional baseball career.
