Beautiful 1974 Rawlings Gold Glove Award given to Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Steve Garvey following the 1974 baseball season. To compliment his 1974 Most Valuable Player Award Garvey took top fielding honors as well, leading National League first baseman in Put Outs, Range Factor, and ranking 3rd in Fielding Percentage. Plaque on front first line reads "1974 Rawlings Gold Glove Award", 2nd line reads "First Base presented to Steve Garvey 1st Award", with bottom line reading "Honoring his selection to The Sporting News National League All Star Fielding Team". At center above plaque is a 7" by 4" photo image of Garvey. Gold colored baseballs are off to each side with a gold colored Rawlings Major League All-Star Fielding Team first baseman's glove on the top center. Wood base measures 17 1/2" by 6 1/2" with 16" to top of glove. Trophy in nice condition. Garvey has signed the wood base in the back "Steve Garvey 6" in perfect 9-10/10 black felt tip pen.
