The late Stan Musial was one of the greatest baseball players in history. Playing his entire 22-year career with the St. Louis Cardinals, Musial won seven National League batting titles and helped the Redbirds to three World Series titles: 1942, ’44 and ’46. Nicknamed “Stan the Man,” Musial was a fan favorite in baseball stadiums across the country.

Featured here is a pair of game worn St. Louis Cardinals gray road pants attributed to Musial from the '54 campaign. Preserved in completely original condition, the offered gray flannel pair stems from a season in which Stan the Man put up his typically astonishing stat line that included a .330 batting average, 35 homers and 126 RBI. That season he also led the NL in runs scored (120) as well as doubles (41). The size 38 gray flannel pants include proper Wilson manufacturer’s tagging on the inside rear waistband area positioned next to a washing instructions tag and right above a flag tag reading “SET 1 1954.” The Cardinals' red piping runs down the outside of both pant legs. On the left front thigh, Musial, using a fine point blue marker, signed and inscribed “My Pants! 1954.” The pants show good game use with some dirt staining evident throughout and a tear on the rear of the left pant leg. Three original buttons (two back pockets and one just above the zipper) remain intact. This is simply a great piece of game-worn baseball memorabilia from one of the most beloved players in the game’s history.
