Anyone attending a game pitched by Koufax in the 1960's would have been smart to keep their ticket stub, programs and any other paraphernaila they may have recieved during the outing. One could have assumed, by Koufax's history of stellar pitching performances (three no-hitters prior to '65) that something magical was always possible when he was on the mound.

September 9, 1965 was one of those magical days and Koufax would outdo all expectations by throwing a Perfect Game! Koufax retired all 27 batters to preserve a 1-0 victory for L.A. over the Cubbies. To his credit, opposing starter Bob Hendley allowed just one hit and an unearned run in his nearly perfect eight innings. This was perhaps the greatest combined pitching performance of the century or in the history of the game to date.

Offered is the highest graded ticket stub from that magical game. PSA has graded this specimen NM-MT 8. Out of 33 total encapsualted, this one stands alone with none graded higher. This example is completely crease-free and still has exceptional color, edges and text. Easily the best copy money can buy and it's unlikely that another one survived in better condition.

SEPT. 9, 1965 SANDY KOUFAX PERFECT GAME TICKET STUB (DODGERS BEAT CUBS 1-0) - STANDS ALONE AS HIGHEST GRADED EXAMPLE IN PSA NM-MT 8
