Willie Wells, the great Negro League shortstop, enjoyed a long career (1924-49) that found him playing for teams such as the Homestead Grays, Kansas City Monarchs, Baltimore Elite Giants and many others. His scarce signature, “Best Wishes - Willie Wells", appears on this 8” by 10” portrait photo showing him in uniform. The signature is very clear and rates about 7-8/10. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
