The San Diego Chargers may have moved to Los Angeles but their memories of playing on the gridiron in “America’s Finest City” will live on forever. Toward that end, presented here is a San Diego Chargers equipment bag filled with coveted team memorabilia from the 1970’s and ‘80’s. The first item is the equipment bag itself. Sporting the team’s trademark yellow-and-blue colors, the nylon bag measures three feet long by 16 inches wide and boasts “SAN DIEGO CHARGERS” call outs on both sides and matching Chargers helmet logos on either end. A pair of study navy blue straps make for easy carrying. The first item within the bag is a pair of former head coach Don Coryell’s game worn Adidas coaching shoes. The black leather shoes measure 11 inches long and sport three white stripes on either side of both shoes. The original black grip soles and navy blue shoelaces remain intact.

The other pieces to the puzzle include former center/guard Don Mazek’s game worn shoulder pads. He played from 1976 to 1989 and the XXL shoulder pads are huge and certainly respect the old-school pads that were worn some 30-plus years ago. Also it the mix is a game-worn headband from guard Doug Wilkerson; a game worn wristband from wide receiver Wes Chandler; a game worn protective glove from linebacker Woodrow Lowe; a game towel from Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow; and a game worn facemask right off the helmet of former guard/tackle Ed White.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the San Diego Hall of Champions.
