Similar to an adjacent lot with a Koufax road replica shirt, this a striking circa 1960’s Sandy Koufax replica home jersey that likewise is a fitting tribute to 11 perfect game pitchers. All 11 have graced the front of the jersey with bold, blue Sharpie autographs, adding the initials “P.G.” and their respective date of their perfect game: Don Larsen, David Cone, Randy Johnson, Len Barker, Jim Bunning, Dennis Martinez and Kenny Rogers on the righthand panel at the front of the shirt and Koufax, David Wells, Tom Browning, and Mike Witt on the left side. The cream-white flannel Cooperstown Collection shirt has “Dodgers” across the front in Dodger blue felt and Koufax’s famed No. 32 in red felt on the front and larger in blue felt on the back. The well-known Mitchell & Ness tagging appears at the back of the collar and the Cooperstown Collection tag is on the front left tail. The edition size of 3/9 is done by hand in the same blue Sharpie as the autographs and inscriptions and appears alongside the Cooperstown Collection labeling. Original store tagging is affixed to the collar. Shirt is in simply sensational, pristine condition, and is yet another eye-popping artifact featuring the signatures of nearly half of the total number in Major League Baseball history who have achieved perfection. This artifact, like the adjoining lot, approaches perfection as well.
