In 1978, Rod Carew’s last season as a Minnesota Twin, he had another banner year, notching a .333 batting average and making his twelfth consecutive trip to the All-Star Game. This Hall of Famer’s game used knit road jersey from that season is offered with absolutely no alterations of any kind. The jersey has the requisite “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag noting the star’s size “42." On the front tail is a white patch with the year “78” and number “2” sewn in blue. On the left sleeve is the Minnesota Twins embroidered team patch, and sewn in script lettering across the front of the jersey is the “Twins” team name as well as Carew’s number “29" and “Carew” is emblazoned on the back as well. All letters and numbers are made of red on navy blue tackle twill and are securely intact. LOA from MEARS (A9).

ADDENDUM: 1978 was the last of seven years in which Carew won the American League batting title.
