Actual game used baseball from the September 19, 1980 game between the San Diego Padres and Atlanta Braves in which Hall of Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers recorded his 229th career save to set the major league record. Fingers pitched 2 1/3 innings to preserve a 7-4 Padres win. Rollie has signed the baseball in beautiful 9/10 dark blue ink on the sweet spot and inscribed the following ""#229th Major League Save Breaking Record Held By Hoyt Wilhelm". ONL(Feeney) ball displays good game use.
LOA from Rollie Fingers.
