The late, great Roger Maris was a remarkable outfielder and power hitter for both the New York Yankees, the man responsible for breaking Babe Ruth’s long-standing, 34-year-old record of 60 home runs in a single season. In 1961, Maris launched 61 round-trippers to break The Bambino’s mark and set the baseball world on fire. This Official 1980 All-Star Game (MLB Commissioner Kuhn) baseball has been blessed with Roger's solo signature in bold 9-10/10 black marker on the sweet spot. The moderately toned ball has a few areas of blue stamp transfers perhaps from being packed together tightly with other 1980 ASG balls. Very tough to find a Maris single on any specially stamped official game ball. His signature stands out strikingly well and is a great candidate for grading (auto only, not ball). Includes full LOA from Beckett (A31113).
