From Red Auerbach's own collection of Boston Celtics memorabilia comes the single finest Bill Russell signed photo we have ever encountered. The vintage 8" by 10" photograph shows Russell in uniform in his historic first season as a Celtic. Russell's period, non-personalized inscription "Best Wishes, Bill Russell" appears across his mid-section in blue ink, rating 8-9 out of 10. The quality of the image and non-personalized scripting combined with the era and ideal provenance make this arguably the finest Bill Russell photo the hobby has ever seen. The photo appears to be in EX-MT condition, remaining in its original vintage frame. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
