ADDENDUM: BOWL IS SILVER PLATED, NOT COMPLETELY MADE OF SILVER
Very nice engraved silver plated bowl given to Boston Celtics coach Red Auerbach in 1965 by Governor John Volpe of Massachusetts. Below the Massachusetts state crest on one side is written "Arnold 'Red' Auerbach by his excellency John A. Volpe, Governor The Commonwealth of Massachusetts 1965". Bottom stamped "Webster-Wilcox International Silver Co. 336/9". 9" in diameter, 4 5/8" high bowl has some tarnish but should clean up nicely. Includes a letter of provenance from the Auerbach estate.
