A scarce and important light green display poster highlighting the iconic original 1950 motion picture covering the life of baseball and cultural hero Jackie Robinson! Also included is an original magazine print ad for the film, THE JACKIE ROBINSON STORY.
Note that the 5x13 print ad is a separate piece and not in the 13x21 "This Took Guts" poster, which is framed to overall dimensions of 19x28.
We looked high and low for other examples of the "Let's Not Be Fancy...This Took Guts MADE IN THE U.S.A." themed promotion of the film in any size or color and were not successful, leading us to believe this poster is quite unique. Our consignor, a Brooklyn Dodgers and Jackie historian, indicated he had never come across another one in all his decades of collecting.
