Extremely rare and beautiful 1915 World Champion Boston Red Sox Celluloid Pin with the even more rare Red Sock still attached. The Red Sox downed the Phillies 4 games to 1 in a series dominated mostly by the pitching, with 3 games ending by 2-1 scores and a 4th 3-1. Babe Ruth made his first World Series appearance in Game 1, grounding out to first base as a pinch hitter for Eddie Shore in the top of the 9th against Hall of Fame pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander. It would be Ruth's only at bat in the Series. 2 1/4" in diameter pin features a black & white photo of Manager Bill Carrigan at the center surrounded by the words "RED SOX AL 1915 CHAMPIONS". 7" long red sock hanging below pin still in tremendous, undamaged condition with not a hint of wear. Pin has been magnificently framed and matted in a 12" by 17" shadowbox frame for display. Awesome display item!
