Offered here is a rare Pie Traynor single signed Official National League (Giles) baseball. Regarded as the premier third basemen of his era, Traynor spent his entire career affiliated with the Pittsburgh Pirates, first as a player from 1920-37, then as manager from 1934-39, and later as the club's radio broadcaster. The two-time All-Star and 1925 World Series champion was inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1948. The 1952-69 era ONL baseball remains in great condition with a soft creamy tone, the only mentionable blemish being a pair of scuff marks flanking the center manufacturer's label. The autograph in clean 6-7/10 blue fountain ink is located directly underneath the Spalding brand logo on a side panel making for lovely eye appeal. Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA.
