Offered here is a 1961 third edition hardcover copy of the famous biography Eu Sou Pelé about the Brazilian soccer hero's rise to fame. When this book was written, Pelé was just 21 years old and at the beginning stages of building his legend. On the third page, Pelé has signed his name in 8-9/10 blue ink with an inscription in Portuguese. We are unsure when he signed this copy, but it is incredibly rare to find any early edition, let alone one autographed. Published in Sao Paulo in 1961, the book is written entirely in Portuguese. All pages are untorn and in terrific condition. At the end are several black-and-white images of Pelé as a child, adolescent, teenager and young adult. The blue hardcover shows just minor wear, with the binding perfectly intact. Includes COA from PSA/DNA (AN60686) for the autograph and inscription.
