Presented here is a powerful original Type I photograph of Martin Luther King Jr. as he delivers another captivating speech, this time to a crowd of parents at Jenner Elementary School in Chicago on April 20, 1966. Dr. King proposed a plan to counteract deplorable school conditions as well as the misappropriation of tax dollars. Taken at the perfect off-center angle, the image catches King mid-sentence in profile at the podium.

The 8x10 shot has border wear and some obvious surface cracking, but fortunately his face and body are unaffected by these blemishes. The reverse has a paper attachment from the Chicago Sun-Times with a short sentence caption and two additional date stamps indicating it was reused by the press. Overall, it remains in good shape and is a wonderful piece of American history to add to one's collection. Authenticated as Type I by PSA/DNA (currently being reholdered into newer generation jumbo holder).
