Issued during The Babe's final season in pinstripes, when his popularity with kids accross America was still soaring, these Quaker Oats die-cut advertising displays urged kids to redeem boxtops from Quaker Puffed Rice and Puffed Wheat cereals in exchange for prizes. These approximately 20" x 31" displays are highlighted by Ruth's unmistakable likeness and colorful artist's renderings of the available prizes—which include baseballs, caps, rings, booklets, etc. The blue bordered example has been heavily restored with extensive inpainting and presents at the FR-GD level. The red bordered piece shows a moderate degree of restoration and displays nicely at the apparent EX level.
